On January 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2024, something incredible happened at IIMS College. It was a special event for the fresh faces entering college life—our new Bachelors and Masters students. Picture this: starting college brings a mix of excitement and nerves. Hence, the special event, the Socialization Programme, is like a big welcome hug for new students. It’s all about meeting fellow students, making friends, and feeling pumped about the college journey ahead.

A Perfect Getaway

The anticipation for the event was real as for the freshers, nothing gets more exciting than this most awaited event, the Socialization Programme. It was a 2-day and 1-night trip to Trishuli Riverside Resort. This was like a perfect getaway for them to a place surrounded by nature. The MBA and MCS students kicked off their Socialization Programme on January 20th and 21st. It was then followed by the BBA, BCS, and BIHM students of the January 2024 intake on January 21st and 22nd. Each day brimmed with new learning, new connections and new experiences.

Start of the Surprises

Before embarking on the Socialization trip, our students received an amazing surprise: brand-new IIMS Hoodies!  Each student got a stylish hoodie representing their faculty – BBA, BCS, or BIHM. Stepping onto the bus, everyone sported their vibrant hoodies, creating a sea of unity and belonging. It was a powerful moment, instantly connecting them as one big IIMS family, ready for an unforgettable adventure together!

Fun and Engaging Activities

The atmosphere turned vibrant as everyone gathered for engaging activities and sessions. Our expert facilitators designed interactive sessions that were not only fun but also honed vital skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership. The resource persons, Mr Ajaya Regmi, Mr Brihat Singh Boswa, Mr Rukesh Ghimire, Mr Satyendra Upreti, Mr Dipankar Sherpa, Mr Ankush Adhikari, and Mr Prajwol Tamrakar guided our students, ensuring every moment was enriching and impactful.

Recreation

As the sun set, a vibrant celebration awaited the students. The pulsating beats of the DJ filled the air hyping up the students. They danced the night away and created memories that would last a lifetime. “I had so much fun dancing with my friends that I didn’t even get tired.”, a student shared.

Adventure

The next morning, the thrill intensified. Some were nervous while everyone was excited about the adventure they were about to experience. Eventually, everyone took off for a rafting adventure at the Trishuli River. This exhilarating adventure provided a perfect blend of excitement and teamwork to the students.

Start of Something Extra-ordinary

As our students returned to campus, they carried with them more than just memories. They carried a sense of belonging, a network of friends, and the confidence to travel the exciting journey that lies ahead. At IIMS College, the essence of our Socialization Programme is not just about welcoming new students—it’s about setting the stage for a transformative college experience where learning is not just a task but a joyous adventure.
