IIMS College recently had the privilege of hosting three distinguished speakers from Taylor’s University, Malaysia, who brought powerful insights and fresh perspectives to our students. The event featured a series of engaging sessions focused on personal development, future-readiness, and sustainability. These themes are essential for preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
The day began with Dr. Thivashini B Jaya Kumar, who led a thoughtful session titled “Build Your Life APP.” She guided students through the importance of living with intention and building a meaningful life by aligning personal values with long-term goals. Her session encouraged students to take responsibility for their own growth and direction.

Following this, Dr. Thanuja Rathakrishnan presented an exciting session titled “WTF Ideas (What’s the Future?)” Her talk challenged students to think beyond the present, explore possibilities, and embrace the mindset needed to navigate future challenges. She emphasized creativity, flexibility, and innovation as key skills for success.
The final session, “Edu-action and SDG Supercharged,” was delivered by Dr. Aqilah Yaacob. She highlighted the importance of combining education with real-world action to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her session inspired students to move from awareness to impact by becoming active contributors to sustainable change.
These sessions were more than just academic discussions. They were valuable learning experiences that motivated students to reflect, engage, and take action toward personal and global development.
