The College Nurse will be responsible for providing basic medical care, first aid, and health
support to students and staff within the college premises. The nurse will manage the college’s
sick room, handle health-related emergencies, and promote a safe and healthy environment on
campus.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide immediate medical attention and first aid to students and staff during illness or
injury.
– Maintain and manage the college sick room, ensuring it is clean, well-equipped, and
stocked with necessary medicines and supplies.
– Monitor and record student health cases and maintain confidential medical records.
– Assist in health screenings, awareness programs, and vaccination drives as needed.
– Assess health complaints and refer serious cases to hospitals or clinics when necessary.
– Communicate with parents or guardians regarding a student’s health condition when
required.
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
– Support college events and activities by being available for first aid and medical
assistance.
– Coordinate with administration and HR regarding health and safety protocols on
campus.
– Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
– Registered Nurse (RN) with valid Nepal Nursing Council license.
– Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical or school/college health setup preferred.
– Strong knowledge of first aid, basic medical procedures, and emergency response.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Empathetic, patient, and responsible attitude.
– Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and effectively.
