The IIMS × Perceptron International Hackathon 2026 successfully concluded after an intensive 48-hour challenge that brought together passionate innovators, technology enthusiasts, and aspiring AI professionals to develop innovative solutions using artificial intelligence.
Held on July 24–25, 2026, at Aranya Boutique Hotel, Nagpokhari, Kathmandu, the hackathon provided participants with an immersive platform to collaborate, solve real-world challenges, and explore the possibilities of AI through the Build, Train, and Evaluate approach.
Throughout the 48-hour challenge, participating teams worked intensively on their ideas and solutions, applying their technical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The event also provided participants with opportunities to learn from experienced industry professionals through keynote sessions and workshops.
Keynote speaker Dr. Suresh Manandhar, Honorary Chair in Artificial Intelligence at Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology and CEO, Chief Scientist & Co-Founder of Wiseyak Inc., shared valuable insights through the session “Data Annotation: The Foundation of Modern AI.” The session highlighted the importance of quality data in the development and advancement of modern artificial intelligence systems.

The hackathon also featured keynote speaker Dr. Sudhan Jha, who led an insightful workshop titled “Beyond LLMs: Small Language Models and Edge AI.” The session provided participants with valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of AI and the growing potential of small language models and edge AI technologies.

Participants also had the opportunity to present their ideas and solutions while receiving guidance and support from mentors Krishna Devkota, Avinash Mishra, and Pravesh Chapagain. Their expertise and mentorship supported the teams as they refined their ideas, addressed challenges, and developed their solutions throughout the competition.

Following 48 hours of innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving, the winning teams were announced:

The winning teams were recognised for their outstanding performance, innovative thinking, technical capabilities, and dedication throughout the challenge.
