Guest Session on Reporting Corruption Held for BBUS Students

IIMS College organized an informative guest session on “Reporting Corruption, Preventive Measures and Whistleblower Protection” for BBUS (Jan. 2026 Intake) students, providing them with valuable knowledge on ethics, legal accountability, and good governance. The session was facilitated by Ms. Garisha Bhattarai, Section Officer at the Special Court, Nepal, who shared her expertise and practical insights on the country’s anti-corruption framework and the role of legal institutions in promoting transparency.

During the session, Ms. Bhattarai highlighted the significance of identifying and reporting corrupt practices, the legal procedures involved in corruption cases, and the preventive measures that organizations and individuals can adopt to uphold integrity. She also emphasized the importance of whistleblower protection, explaining how safeguarding individuals who report misconduct encourages transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making within both public and private sectors.

The interactive session encouraged students to think critically about the impact of corruption on society and the economy while reinforcing the values of honesty, responsibility, and ethical leadership. Through real-life examples and practical discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of how legal mechanisms and individual actions contribute to creating a transparent and accountable society.

As future business professionals, the session provided BBUS students with meaningful exposure to the principles of corporate ethics and governance, helping them recognize the importance of integrity in professional and organizational settings.
