Future Forward: Social Emotional Learning Session

IIMS College organized an engaging and insightful session on “Future Forward: Social Emotional Learning” at the Conference Hall of Aranya Boutique Hotel for the students of the BCS January 2026 Intake – EIA G3.

The session was led by Mr. Padam Raj Joshi, Senior Psychologist, who shared valuable perspectives on the importance of social and emotional learning in supporting students’ personal growth, academic development, and future professional journeys.

Throughout the session, students explored key areas such as emotional intelligence, self-awareness, effective communication, social awareness, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making. The discussions encouraged students to understand how emotions influence their thoughts, behavior, interactions, and responses in different situations.

Mr. Joshi highlighted the importance of recognizing and managing one’s emotions while also developing empathy and understanding the feelings and perspectives of others. The session emphasized that social and emotional skills are essential not only for maintaining healthy relationships but also for building confidence, improving communication, working effectively in teams, and adapting to new challenges.

The engaging discussions and interactive learning experience encouraged students to reflect on their own emotions, strengths, communication styles, and relationships. Students also gained practical insights into developing positive connections, responding thoughtfully to challenges, and creating a balanced approach to personal and professional growth.

As students continue their academic journey and prepare for an evolving professional landscape, the session provided meaningful perspectives on the value of emotional awareness and interpersonal skills. The learnings shared during the session will support students in becoming more confident, empathetic, socially aware, and emotionally resilient individuals.

The “Future Forward: Social Emotional Learning” session concluded with valuable takeaways, leaving students with a deeper understanding of how self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and meaningful connections can contribute to their overall development and future success.
