IIMS College organised a Training Session titled “From Classroom to Connection” for its staff members on 26 August 2026 at the IIMS College Innovation Block. The session was facilitated by Ms. Arpita Subba, Counseling Psychologist, and provided an engaging space for staff members to explore practical psychological skills that can support healthier and more meaningful interactions in the workplace.

The session focused on the importance of understanding oneself and others as a foundation for building better connections. Through a combination of interactive activities, open discussions, and an engaging Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to reflect on everyday interactions and explore practical approaches that can be applied in their professional and personal settings.

Key areas covered during the session included wellbeing, stress management, emotional regulation, effective communication, active listening, understanding behaviour, and maintaining appropriate support and professional boundaries. The interactive nature of the session encouraged participants to actively share perspectives, engage with different situations, and gain practical insights beyond theoretical understanding.

The activities and discussions made the session both informative and enjoyable, allowing staff members to connect, reflect, and learn together. The Q&A segment further encouraged participation, giving attendees the opportunity to raise questions and discuss real-life situations related to communication, emotions, wellbeing, and interpersonal relationships.
“From Classroom to Connection” highlighted how small changes in the way we communicate, listen, understand, and respond can contribute to stronger professional relationships and a more supportive environment. The session served as a meaningful opportunity for learning, reflection, and professional development, reinforcing the importance of psychological wellbeing and effective human connection in the workplace.
