IIMS College conducted an informative and interactive session on “Ergonomics and Joint Health” for BIHM (September 2023 Intake) students, led by renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Prabal Pradhan.
The session emphasized the importance of maintaining proper posture, adopting healthy movement practices, and preventing long-term musculoskeletal issues that can arise from daily academic activities and professional responsibilities. As future hospitality professionals who may spend long hours standing, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks, students gained valuable insights into how ergonomics plays a crucial role in ensuring long-term health and career sustainability.
Dr. Prabal Pradhan shared his expertise on posture correction, joint care, injury prevention, and the importance of incorporating healthy physical habits into everyday routines. The session also included practical demonstrations, where students actively participated in posture assessments, stretching exercises, and ergonomic movement techniques, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and understand the practical application of these concepts.

The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to reflect on their daily habits and adopt preventive measures to maintain their physical well-being throughout their academic and professional journeys.
