3-Course Middle Eastern Dining Experience with IIMS Students

IIMS College recently concluded its 3-Course Middle Eastern Dining Experience, organized by the BIHM Sept 2025 & Jan 2026 intake students at Taylor’s Cafe, Naxal. Held from July 7 to July 10, 2026, the four-day student-led dining event provided guests with an opportunity to explore the rich and vibrant flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine while witnessing hospitality education in practice.

The dining experience served as a practical learning platform where students applied their classroom knowledge in a real-time fine dining environment. Throughout the event, they demonstrated culinary creativity, teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence while managing various aspects of restaurant operations.

Guests were treated to a specially curated three-course Middle Eastern menu, beginning with Creamy Hummus on Sourdough as the appetizer, followed by a Traditional Mezze Platter featuring falafels, fresh salads, dips, and grilled accompaniments, and concluding with the classic Middle Eastern dessert Basbousa. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented, reflecting the students’ growing expertise in culinary arts and hospitality.

Beyond showcasing authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, the event provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to food preparation, plating, guest interaction, table service, and overall dining operations. Working in a live restaurant setting enabled students to strengthen essential industry skills, including communication, teamwork, time management, attention to detail, and customer service.

The event received an encouraging response from guests, who appreciated the authentic flavors, elegant presentation, and warm hospitality delivered by the students. Their positive feedback and continued support served as a valuable source of motivation for the aspiring hospitality professionals.

Through initiatives like the Middle Eastern Dining Experience, IIMS College continues to reinforce its commitment to experiential learning by creating opportunities for students to bridge academic knowledge with practical industry experience. Such student-led dining events play an important role in preparing future hospitality professionals with the confidence, skills, and real-world exposure required to excel in the global hospitality industry.
