Unison Retro Fusion is a grand annual event aimed to celebrate the vibrant community of IIMS bringing everyone together for a night of nostalgia and unity. It is a unique themed event that aims to unite faculty members from all disciplines to celebrate each other’s achievements and promote a sense of belonging. This year’s IIMS Unison promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with exciting activities, meaningful connections, and a chance to reminisce with our esteemed alumni.

Event Theme
Guests will enjoy a blend of retro music, vintage decorations, classic games, and themed activities that transport them back to the vibrant decades of the past. The event will create an immersive experience as guests embody the culture, fashion, and entertainment of the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. The event will also feature a photo booth area with retro-themed props and backdrops for the guests to capture memories.

The event will begin with an Acknowledgement of Faculty segment, dedicated to their guidance and support. This segment will celebrate their contributions to the institution and their impact on shaping students’ futures. We will present tokens of appreciation, share personal stories, and express our gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the institution.
- Magazine Launch
The Magazine Launch will unveil the latest edition of the IIMS College magazine, featuring articles, research, and creative contributions from students and faculty. This segment will include a formal presentation of the magazine, highlighting key articles and themes. A special guest or senior faculty member will be invited to launch the magazine, followed by a brief overview of its content and the editorial process.
- Welcome Performance
The Welcome Performance will set the tone for IIMS Unison Retro Fusion with a vibrant and energetic opening act. This performance will feature a blend of classic and contemporary dance and music, showcasing the diverse talents of IIMS students. It aims to captivate the audience and build excitement for the rest of the event.
- MR. & Ms. IIMS
The Mr. & Ms. IIMS contest is a highlight of the event, where selected students will compete for titles based on their personality, talent, and overall charisma. The contest will include multiple rounds such as introduction, talent showcase, and Q&A sessions judged by a panel of esteemed judges. This segment is designed to celebrate the unique qualities and talents of IIMS students, promoting confidence and self-expression.
- Award Distribution
The Award Distribution for Best Character celebrates participants who best embody the retro theme with their outstanding costumes. One male and one female participant will be recognized for their creativity, authenticity, and overall impact in capturing the essence of the retro era. Judging will focus on their costume, attention to detail, and how well they present themselves in line with the retro theme. This award adds a competitive edge and encourages full immersion in the nostalgic ambiance of IIMS Unison Retro Fusion.
- Band Artist Performance
The Band Artist Performance will feature a live musical performance by a popular band or solo artist, providing entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere to conclude the event. This segment aims to engage the audience with a mix of retro and contemporary music, creating a memorable experience for all attendees.
