IIMS Toastmasters Club is a dedicated community promoting personal and professional growth. On 6th July 2024, they successfully concluded its 2nd Installation and Induction Ceremony at IIMS College. This momentous occasion marked the transition of leadership, bidding farewell to outgoing officers and welcoming a new executive committee. It was a huge day for everyone as we witnessed the rise of new leaders, the incoming club officers.
The ceremony commenced with inspiring music in the background, setting an uplifting tone for the event. Members of the club, dressed in elegant sarees, formals, and traditional attire, created a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The Area Director of Area D1, TM Rupa Shrestha graced the ceremony with her presence. She also served as the Installation Officer for the day.
Induction Ceremony Begins
The event began with an Induction Ceremony for new club members, conducted by TM Archana Tamang, Vice President Membership for the term 23.24. Then, the new members took their membership oaths, exhibiting a promise toward their self-growth and commitment to the club.
Let’s Get to Know Each Other – Activity by TMoD
Moving on, the Toastmaster of the Day (TMoD) then took over and facilitated engaging get-to-know-each-other activities. This encouraged members to share each others’ interesting facts and personal experiences, switching partners every minute. This thus created a fun and familiar environment while highlighting the importance of connection and bonding within the club.
The Most Awaited Installation Ceremony Begins
The highlight of the ceremony was the official Installation Ceremony. The Installation Officer took the lead and congratulated everyone for reaching this significant milestone. She then invited all the outgoing club officers up on the stage and discharged them from their roles. It was now time for the outgoing President to share her closing remarks.
Everyone was captivated as the outgoing President TM Smriti Bajracharya delivered her final speech as the President. She expressed her gratitude towards her team members, as well as for the opportunities and experiences gained during her tenure. She shared her feelings about the weight of the leadership crown to proudly passing the leadership crown to the new President. Finally, she expressed her aspiration for the club’s growth and success igniting everyone towards those aspirations. She then handed over the reins of leadership to the incoming President TM Subash Rai.
Likewise, the incoming President TM Subash Rai shared his vision for the club and its growth. This included emphasizing the importance of increasing membership, enhancing member experiences, and ensuring financial sustainability. He also expressed his commitment to creating a vibrant and dynamic club that empowers its members to reach their full potential.
Welcoming the New Generation of Leaders
Finally, the Installation Officer installed the new executive committee and let them take their leadership oaths. The ceremony concluded with the pinning of executive member badges. This officially recognized the new leadership team and their dedication to the club’s success. As the IIMS Toastmasters Club enters a new chapter, the incoming executive committee is poised to lead the club to even greater heights, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and personal growth.
