On Jan 5th, Jan 6th, and the 2nd week of Jan, IIMS College hosted a University Orientation Program for BCS, BIHM, and BBUS students respectively at the college premises.  The program had a presence of representatives from Taylor’s University across the School of Computer Science, School of Hospitality, and Taylor’s Business School. They provided information and inspiration to our new students while also delivering crucial sessions on the program’s unique curriculum.

Objective of the University Orientation Program

a) To provide a warm welcome and a seamless transition for our incoming students while offering important information

b) To offer important information about the university and the program details

c) To brief students about the opportunities from the university and the college

d) To let students be aware of the college culture and what to forward for college life

Here’s what we can look forward to from the university orientation program:

1. For BCS Faculty –

Welcome by Program Directors and Co-ordinators

The Orientation and Welcome Sessions were structured to introduce students to the IIMS College, its culture, and the opportunities offered through the BCS and BIHM programs. Additionally, this event served as a platform for new students to connect with faculty members, understand academic practices, and learn about the support services available at IIMS College.

Moreover, our college’s key administrative and support staff provided essential insights into various aspects of college life, including:

c) Usage of College Email, IIMS Mobile App, and MyTimes learning tools

d) Internet and lab usage guidelines

e) Reporting issues and resolution processes

f) Academic timelines, group formations, timetables, and class schedules

Preparing for a Successful Semester

Finally, to prepare for a successful semester, students should be aware of the college culture, members, opportunities, and services. Thus, the University Orientation Session covered all the aspects for the freshers ensuring a strong start to the semester.
