Promoting Women’s Health on International Women’s Day at IIMS College

This International Women’s Day, IIMS College organized an important awareness session on Women’s Reproductive Health: What Every Woman Needs to Know, aiming to provide students and attendees with practical knowledge about women’s health and wellbeing. The session was part of the college’s ongoing commitment to promoting awareness, education, and empowerment on topics that deeply affect women’s lives.

The session was led by Ms. Reetika Khatiwoda, Nurse at IIMS College, who shared valuable insights into reproductive health, self-care practices, and the importance of maintaining informed wellbeing. Attendees learned about common reproductive health issues, preventive measures and the role of regular check-ups, as well as tips for personal hygiene and mental wellness. The discussion also emphasized the need for open conversations about women’s health, breaking stigmas, and fostering a supportive environment where women feel empowered to take care of themselves.

This initiative aligns with the International Women’s Day 2026 theme, “Give to Gain,” highlighting the idea that investing time, knowledge, and care in women’s health benefits not only individuals but the wider community. By providing a platform for education and dialogue, IIMS College continues to encourage staffs and community members to prioritize health, awareness, and wellbeing in their daily lives.
