IIMS Family Came Together for Candle Lighting & Mourning 2026

In a heartfelt moment of remembrance and unity, the IIMS family came together for a Candle Lighting and Mourning Ceremony to remember the lives affected by the devastating floods across Nepal and stand in solidarity with the families and communities facing the aftermath of the tragedy.

The ceremony brought together members of the IIMS community, including students, faculty, and staff, who gathered to offer their prayers and pay their respects. As candles were lit, the IIMS family observed a moment of silence for those who lost their lives and for the families now carrying the pain of losing their loved ones.

The recent floods have left many families grieving, displaced communities facing uncertainty, and countless lives deeply affected. During such difficult times, the ceremony served as a reminder that beyond the statistics and news headlines are real people, families, and communities whose lives have been changed forever.

Standing together in silence, the IIMS community carried prayers for every family mourning a loss and for everyone trying to recover from the devastating impact of the disaster. The candle lighting became a symbol of remembrance for those affected and a symbol of hope for the days ahead.

The gathering also reflected the importance of standing together as a community during moments of national grief. While no words can take away the pain experienced by those affected, coming together in support and solidarity reminds us of the strength we can find in one another.

As Nepal continues to face the difficult journey of recovery and rebuilding, the IIMS family extends its heartfelt thoughts and prayers to every family and community affected by the floods. May those who are grieving find strength and comfort. May those facing difficult days find hope and support. And may we continue to stand together as our nation heals and rebuilds.
