BIHM Students Gain Industry Insights from Guest Speaker Ms. Ashlesha Karki

The BIHM March 2025 Batch began their morning with a highly engaging and motivational guest lecture titled “The Entrepreneurial Journey in Hospitality: From Concept to Customer.” The session was delivered by Ms. Ashlesha Karki, Deputy Managing Director of Hotel Mechi Crown, one of Nepal’s prominent figures in the hospitality industry.

Held at the college premises in the Naxal Block at 8:00 AM, the lecture aimed to give students real-world exposure to the entrepreneurial landscape within the hospitality sector. Ms. Karki walked the students through her own inspiring journey, offering insights into how a simple idea can be transformed into a thriving business with the right mix of creativity, strategic planning, and customer-centric focus. She emphasized the importance of market research, innovation in service delivery, and maintaining strong leadership through the ups and downs of running a hospitality business. Ms. Karki also discussed key aspects of launching a hotel venture, including concept development, team building, funding, branding, and maintaining high standards of guest experience.
