IIMS College organized an insightful barista-focused session for its BIHM students, providing them with an opportunity to explore the world of coffee and gain practical insights from an industry professional.
The session featured Mr. Aashir Manandhar, Certified Barista Trainer, who shared his knowledge and experience in coffee preparation, barista techniques and the practices involved in creating a quality coffee experience.
The session gave students an opportunity to look beyond the theoretical aspects of hospitality education and gain a closer understanding of the role of a barista within the hospitality industry. Through interaction and practical insights, students explored the attention to detail, techniques and knowledge that contribute to professional coffee service.
The session also encouraged students to connect their classroom learning with real-world hospitality practices. Exposure to industry professionals allows students to gain a broader perspective of the field, understand different career opportunities and develop an appreciation for the skills required in professional hospitality environments.
