IIMS College recently hosted its 5-Course Korean Dining Experience, organized by the BIHM Sept 2025 & Jan 2026 intake students at Taylor’s Cafe, Naxal. The event was held from June 16 to June 19, 2026, offering guests in Kathmandu a unique blend of authentic Korean cuisine and student-led fine dining service.
The initiative was designed as a practical learning platform where students could apply their classroom knowledge in a real hospitality environment. Through this experience, they demonstrated culinary creativity, teamwork, and professional service skills in a live restaurant setup.
Over the course of four days, students prepared and served a carefully designed five-course Korean menu inspired by traditional and modern flavors. Each dish reflected attention to detail, balance of taste, and thoughtful presentation, highlighting the students’ growing expertise in culinary execution.
Guests were served in a structured fine dining environment, experiencing professional hospitality practices including table service, guest interaction, timing coordination, and service etiquette. The event also helped students develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork under real operational conditions.
The program received encouraging feedback from guests, who appreciated both the authentic Korean flavors and the professionalism demonstrated throughout the dining experience. Such initiatives reflect IIMS College’s commitment to experiential learning, where students gain valuable industry exposure alongside academic training, preparing them for future careers in hospitality.
