IIMS College successfully conducted a Mindfulness Session for BIHM students on 17 July 2026 at Aranya Boutique Hotel, providing participants with an opportunity to begin their day with clarity, focus, and a renewed sense of well-being.
The session was led by Dr. Saru Maharjan, an International Ayurveda Consultant and Holistic Wellness Educator, who shared practical mindfulness techniques designed to help students manage stress, improve concentration, and cultivate a healthier lifestyle. Through interactive discussions and guided mindfulness practices, students learned how small, intentional habits can positively impact both their personal and academic lives.

Dr. Maharjan highlighted the importance of balancing mental, emotional, and physical well-being in today’s fast-paced world. She encouraged students to incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines as a way to enhance self-awareness, emotional resilience, and overall wellness.
The session also emphasized the growing significance of holistic well-being in the hospitality industry, where maintaining composure, empathy, and emotional intelligence plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Students gained valuable perspectives on how mindfulness can contribute to both professional excellence and personal growth.
The interactive nature of the program allowed participants to engage actively, reflect on their daily habits, and experience simple mindfulness exercises that can be practiced anytime. The session inspired students to prioritize self-care while developing skills that support both academic success and future careers.

Such initiatives reflect IIMS College’s commitment to fostering holistic education by promoting not only academic excellence but also the overall well-being and personal development of its students.
