From Platter to Plate: A 4-Course Dining Experience

IIMS College is set to organize “Platter to Plate,” a 4-Course Dining Experience, led by the BIHM Sept 2025 & Jan 2026 intake students at Taylor’s Cafe, Naxal. The event will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2026, providing guests with an opportunity to enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu while witnessing hospitality education in action.

Designed as a practical learning initiative, “Platter to Plate” allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-time dining environment. The event serves as a platform for aspiring hospitality professionals to showcase their culinary abilities, service skills, teamwork, and attention to detail through a live fine dining setup.

The specially curated four-course menu has been developed to offer guests a balanced and memorable dining experience. Students will be responsible for the preparation, presentation, and service of each course, ensuring that every guest enjoys both quality cuisine and professional hospitality.

Beyond the dining experience, the event highlights IIMS College’s commitment to experiential learning. By working directly with guests in a restaurant setting, students gain valuable industry exposure and develop essential hospitality competencies such as communication, service etiquette, time management, teamwork, and guest relations.

“Platter to Plate” reflects the college’s approach to hospitality education, where academic learning is complemented by practical experiences that prepare students for successful careers in the global hospitality industry.

The event will be held daily from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Taylor’s Cafe, Naxal, and is open to guests who wish to enjoy a unique student-led dining experience. The dining package is available at NRs. 400 nett per person.

Through initiatives such as “Platter to Plate,” IIMS College continues to create meaningful opportunities for students to transform classroom learning into real-world hospitality experiences while delivering memorable dining moments for guests.
