LIC Open Discussion Program (LIC-ODP)
The program is a hybrid structured formal discussion with openness in justifying their opinions and logics for discussing topic content. It is composed of current business knowledge along with formal report writing & presentation skills wherein students are prepared to build their competency in real business environment.
It is a more formal discussion in the seminar hall where students are given to choose three different topics based on current global business affairs. The time provided to students will be one week for each discussion day. The performance of the student is evaluated by our Chief Guest [expert in related field] every week. There is reward system for the best performer as per college rules.
MBA ODP Phase I:
April 6, 2015, after the announcement of the program along with topics where disclosed where we found 100% MBA students participation. All the participants selected different topics for discussion and prepare formal report of their discussion. Only three best report writers ( Ms. Chandani Pal, Ms. Palina Shrestha and Mr. Ashish B. Singh) on three different topics where selected for Discussion and Presentation Round. and fighting to be selected for the competition. Dr. Rabin Kumar Acharya, external evaluator concludes the winner as Mr. Ashish B. Singh for the ODP Phase I.
MBA ODP Phase II:
June 15, 2015, after the success of ODP Phase I, students are diverted towards learning culture and give 95% participation in ODP Phase II despite of the unavoidable devastating earthquake trauma. The best 3 reports on 3 different topics selected where of Mr. Hemanta Bhatta, Mr. Ashish B. Singh and Mr. Rabin Shrestha. Dr. Rabin Kumar Acharya, external evaluator concludes the winner as Mr. Hemanta Bhatta for ODP Phase II.
BBA ODP Phase I:
June 12, 2015: 90% plus participation along with its applied practical know-how skills attracts the demand for BBA ODP Phase I. Successively, 100% participation in the program along with qualitative report writing and problem solving skills have made LIC Academia into a remarkable benchmark for its ECAs. Ms. Shreya Joshi has been announced as the winner for the program.
The Evaluator feedback for the students helps them to improve their Communication skills in terms of Problem Solving & Decision Making Skills along with Report Writing Skills.
