About the Workshop
Teambuilding develops a team’s efficiency and effectiveness in achieving a common goal. This can be done through improving the interaction and understanding of team roles.
The trainer for the event has been conducting different management games and training workshops at Business Schools and Corporate Houses. The workshop started a way of a small and extremely gripping activity, where the trainer emphasized on the team building roles through different activities following management games. It was very intriguing and make all participants to think out of the box.
BIFURCATES OF THE WORKSHOP OF TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES
ACTIVITY 1: ICE BREAKER- MILLING (TEAM TASK)
The startup of the Workshop begin with the Ice Breaker Activity where every participant were taught the process of Team Formation ( Forming- Norming- Stoming-Performing- Adjourning). The main objective of the activity is to inculcate the skills required for each member to invigorate, introspect and know their team. The non-prize activity duration was of 30 Minutes.
ACTIVITY 2: ATTENTION-TO-DETAIL (INDIVIDUAL TASK):
With the completion of Ice Breaker-Milling, the individual activity Attention-to-Detail was conducted in order to enhance and evaluate the listening and communication skill among the participants. Mr. Rabin Shrestha was decared the winner of the activity.
ACTIVITY 3: 3 PEOPLE PICTIONARY (TEAM TASK):
As the activities were placed one after another the level of difficulty were simultaneously increased in order to make the workshop more interesting and the trainer has objectified the core principle of the activity as to build the effective communication skill in MBAians as a part of corporate world. The Encoding and Decoding of the message that meets the communication objective has been focused in the activity. The time limit to meet the proper communication objective for each team was 1 minutes and 20 seconds where three team won. The winner were Team 2: Ms. Abina, Mr. Sameer & Mr. Ashish ; Team 3: Ms. Akriti, Mr. Bimal & Ms. Sita and Team 5: Mr. Pratyush, Mr. Sirish & Mr. Utkal.
ACTIVITY 4: SCAVENGER HUNT (TEAM TASK):
The activity is based on team work where the trainer assigned different team the list of tasks (Picture-Object-Video) in terms of accessibility (easy to difficult) to complete. The objective of the game is to enlighten the importance of effectiveness in Team Building, Time Management, and Strategy. The time limit was only of 25 Minutes where Team Clever (Mr. Ashish, Ms. Abina, Ms. Akriti, Mr. Bimal & Mr. Sameer) won with 470 Points out of 500 Points.
ACTIVITY 5: OBSTACLE COURSE – MAZE (TEAM TASK):
The game was based on team work with blind fold to reach to another end of the maze with the help of their team member. The objective was to build team work, trust among team members and effective communication among team members to reach their goal. The winner declared for the activity was Team 5: Mr. Ashish, Ms. Abina, Ms. Akriti, Mr. Bimal, Mr. Sameer with the fastest completion of their goal among other teams with 2 mintues and 7 Seconds(Goal Reach Time).
ACTIVITY 6: PAINT A PORTRAIT (INDIVIDUALTASK):
The activity was an individual work where all participants where placed in a circular seating arrangement facing eachother. All are given a chance to describe good quality of their friend whose picture was dropped in his hand in every rotation of paper pass until and unless you get your own paper with your picture. The objective of the activity is to know about your team mates so as to avoid the intra group conflict. The activity was non-prize and has no time limit.
ACTIVITY 7: MAD ADs (TEAM TASK):
The team based activity focuses on Creativity, Teamwork and Strategy wherein the team were assigned to prepare different Promotion with a assigned product as a prop. The total time for entire activity was of 25 minutes where Team We5: Ms. Rita, Ms. Nabina, Ms. Chandani, Ms. Ranita, and Ms. Sonu won.
ACTIVITY 8: SANDWICH GAME (TEAM TASK):
The game was entirely based on the Creativity, Strategy, Leadership and Teamwork where all team were given the same product as Sandwich to prepare spending certain amount by each group. The Team NA: Mr. Ashish, Ms. Abina, Ms. Akriti, Mr. Bimal, and Mr. Sameer won the game making really innovative sandwich (comprising Cookies, and sweets) with lowest cost. The jury decided the winner in terms of their cost, product taste, product innovation and product presentation.
ACTIVITY 9: LONDON BRIDGE (TEAM TASK):
The workshop was concluded by the team based “London Bridge game” wherein the team has to build tallest bridge with the help of available resources. The objective of the game is to enhance competitive strategy, effective leadership, effective team building, proper resource management and most important is proper time management. The total time was of 25 minutes where Team 3: Mr. Chirag, Mr. Bipan, Mr. Bimal, Mr. Sameer and Ms. Sita were declared as winner for the activity.
All the participants along with the winner had group photo session with the Trainer. The program was concluded with prize distribution to the winner and complementary prize to non-winner participants.
