About BHM

In academic collaboration with UCSI university in Malaysia, IIMS offers a 3- year, 9-semester plus one full year industrial internship BHM program in Nepal, commonly known as BA(Hons) Hospitality Management. The program aims to equip students with operational, supervisory and supervisory and managerial knowledge and skills, required to modern management in the global hospitality industry. It covers a wide range of areas from front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchen, to event coordination and management. In addition, students also have the prospect of indulging in research and development relevant to the industry’s emerging issues such as tourism policies and eco-hospitality.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • Candidates with 50% and above in +2 OR Candidates with minimum 2 principle subjects in A Level
  • English Requirement: A score of 213 (computer based)/ 550 (writing based)/ 79-80 (Internet based) in TOEFL OR
  • Band 5.5 in IELTS OR
  • Passing the English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by University

Placements

The course offers an optional one-year (48 weeks) work placement after the second year, in the UK or abroad. This paid position provides the opportunity for further personal development and to see accountancy and finance in action, helping you develop the knowledge and skills obtained on the course.

IIMS, collaborated as IHG Academy

On 9th January 2019, IIMS College hosted the IHG academy inauguration ceremony to mark its official collaboration with the Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG). One of the world’s leading hotel companies, IHG has over 5,500 hotels spread across 100 countries and a workforce of more than 375,000.

Through the collaboration, IIMS is now a member of IHG Academy, a platform where IHG hotels and corporate offices collaborate with education providers and community groups to help local people build their hospitality skills and improve their employability. Each IHG Academy has three things in common: they collaborate with local education providers and/or community groups; they provide a work experience placement, and they give feedback to each individual on placement. Within a global framework, each IHG Academy is tailored to best meet the needs of the local community they serve.
